Annotation description:this paper demonstrates that GRIPAP1(GRASP1) binds Rab4-GTP and is predominantly associated with Rab4-positive endosomes using EM and immunofluorescence co-localization of endogenous GRASP1 and Rab4, and live-imaging showed that GRASP1 moved together with mobile Rab4 endosomes in dendrites of hippocampal neurons (figure 3). These data together indicate that GRASP1 is localized to postsynaptic early endosome membrane by binding to Rab4 (extrinsic).

- There is synaptic context; "GRASP-1 is associated with punctate structures that occasionally extend beyond the dendritic shaft (arrowheads in Figure 3C), overlap with the synaptic markers PSD-95 (arrowheads in Figure 3D) and Bassoon (arrowheads in Figure 3E).
