Annotation description: | DGKB was enriched in postsynaptic density fractions. DGKB was localized in cell bodies, dendrites, and dendritic spines. 26/01/2018 Pim Authors note: - "Most of the metal particles (arrowheads) are deposited in association with the cytoplasmic face of the plasma membrane in dendrites (A-C), spines (B) and soma (C)" - "At both types of synapses, immunogold particles for DGKβ were frequently observed at perisynaptic sites (Fig. 6F and G), thus revealing that DGKβ preferentially accumulates on the perisynaptic membrane at corticostriatal and thalamostriatal synapses." Note: With 'perisynaptic' the authors mean that DGKB is localized at the edge of the PSD. The biochemical data in Fig.7 suggest PSD association. |
