Annotation description: | PRRT1/SynDIG4 is a brain-specific type II transmembrane protein (extracellular C-terminus and intracellular N-terminus, Figure 2-3). Biochemical fractionation from adult rat brain tissue shows SynDIG4 is enriched in synaptosomes but not the postsynaptic density (Figure 8). Immunostaining in culture hippocampal neurons shows endogenous SynDIG4 protein is enriched at extrasynaptic sites along neuronal processes where is co-localizes with GluA1-AMPA receptors (Figure 9). Figure 1 demonstrates the specificity of the SynDIG4 antibody used in this study using COS cells and brain tissue. Table 1 describes conditions used for SynDIG4 antibodies and other antibodies used in this paper. |
