Annotation description: | Fig.3 These figures use fluorescence based Lysotracker staining of acidic compartments to show reduced acidification in the basal domain of the hair cell enriched in synaptic vesicles. This correlates well with a reduced concentration of the synaptic vesicle vacuolar ATPase responsible for synaptic vesicle acidification in Figure 4. Thus reduced acidification and disrupted organization of the vATPase is consistent with Rabconnectin-3 alpha functionally organizing vesicle acidification |
