Annotation description:Fig.3:
- "Three laminin α chains (α2, α4, and α5) were present at synaptic sites, but each had a distinct distribution. The α2 chain was codistributed with γ1, being present in the extrasynaptic, primary cleft, junctional fold, and Schwann cell BLs (...). The α4 chain was present in Schwann cell and primary cleft BLs, but was absent from extrasynaptic BL and from the BL of junctional folds (...). In contrast, α5 was present in both primary cleft and junctional fold BLs, but was absent from extrasynaptic and Schwann cell BLs (...)."
- "Together, these observations reveal that ... α2, α4, α5, β2, and γ1 in the primary cleft (laminins 4, 9, and 11); ..."

- The techniques used are insufficient to resolve the SC. However, laminins are well established components of the extracellular matrix. Colocalization with nAChRs in the NMJ can be safely inferred to represent SC localization. This is supported by author intent (see text above).
