Annotation description: | Immunogold labeling demonstrates PSD-93 is concentrated within the postsynaptic density of dendritic spines in CA1 neurons of the adult rat hippocampus (Figure 6). Similar to PSD-95, PSD-93 is anchored to the postsynaptic plasma membrane via palmitoylation and increases in abundance at excitatory synapses with age (Figure 6, P2, P10, P35). Antibodies used in electron microscopy experiments were validated by western blot analysis of rat hippocampus and ectopic expressing in HEK cells (Figure 1, Table 1 - information for all antibodies used). |
