| Annotation description: | The authors purify synaptic fractions (synaptosomes) from rat brain. They then isolate clathrin-coated vesicles (CCVs) from the synaptic fractions. They demonstrate that the vast majority of CCVs purified in this way are from the presysnapse and contain synaptic vesicles as their major cargo. Western blot reveals the enrichment of clathrin light chain A in these fractions (upper band in figure 5). |
