Annotation description: | In inhibitory olfactory bulb synapses, the neurexin-3a/b deletion caused a selective decrease in presynaptic GABA release (Fig. 7) without a change in postsynaptic receptor composition (Fig. 6). 1/11/2017 Pim - The paper uses DKO of neurexin-3alpha and neurexin-3beta genes (Fig.6/7) Data on the neurexin-3alpha is also included in Supplementary Fig. 2. Overall, the data for this paper directly supports a role for neurexin-3alpha, and a IGI relation of neurexin-3beta that is based on supposed functional redundancy between paralogs and author intent. |
