Annotation description: | Fig. 4, Fig. 6 and Fig. 7: The localization of EphA7 has been demonstrated to be in dendritic spines by EM immunostaining in CA1 stratum radiatum (Fig. 4), on CA3 pyramidal cell (Fig. 6) and in rat cerebellar cortex (Fig. 7) Literal: "In the hippocampus, as well as in the cerebellar cortex, the most frequent and obvious cell surface immunostaining was associated with dendritic spines, notably their PSDs (Figs. 4A-C, 7A,B)" "Occasional cell surface labeling was also found on the plasma membrane of pyramidal, granule, or Purkinje cell bodies and dendritic shafts. This labeling sometimes involved PSDs of synapses directly on somata (Fig. 6D,F) or dendritic shafts (Fig. 4D-F)," "On rare occasions, two dendritic spines, one labeled and one unlabeled, formed synapses with a single unlabeled axon terminal. Generally, the labeled synapses were qualified as asymmetric, since they showed a prominent PSD." 9/11/2017 Pim - Literal: "In the hippocampus, as well as in the cerebellar cortex, the most frequent and obvious cell surface immunostaining was associated with dendritic spines, notably their PSDs (Figs. 4A-C, 7A,B)." |
