Annotation description:Amphiphysin 2/BIN1 forms heterodimers with Amphyphysin 1 and enhances clathrin-mediated endocytosis as observed in an heterologous transferrin uptake assay. The same paper describes the occurence of Amphyphysin 2 in presynaptic terminals.

- The function of BIN1_RAT/Amphyphysin II in the process of 'synaptic vesicle endocytosis (GO:0048488)' is not shown directly, but inferred from the authors from (1) the known role of Amph1 in this process, (2) the in vivo participation of Amph1 and Amph2 in the same protein complex, (3) the localization of Amph2 on the membrane of SVs and (4) the role of Amph2 in CDE in a heterologous system. I allow this inference w/o a IC structure.
