- Important to note here is that the basal glycinergic transmission (amplitude) in not negatively affected in KO animals. There are even larger mIPSC-amplitude in Glra3 -/- mice at P15-21. This shows that the GLRA3 is not present in the postsynapse mediating the postsynaptic currents. In contrast, forscolin is shown affect IPSC freq (increased SV release) via GLRA3.
