Figure(s):Fig4, Fig5 and Fig7
Annotation description:Fig4 and Fig5 show immunoreactivity in the dendrite and postsynaptic compartment of PAKalpha in hippocampus and neocortex. The labelling is not so prominent in proximity of the PSD. In Fig7 the localization of the ultrastructural label is quantified, less than 5% were located in presynaptic zones of axon terminals and 10% on the PSD itself. Approximately 60% of gold particles for both αPAK were present in a perisynaptic location the area within 45 nm from the dendritic cell membrane and 200 nm from the edge of the PSD.
