| Annotation description: | The figure show that Drosophila 4E-BP regulates synaptic properties of the NMJ; precisely, knockdown of 4eBP (Thor) in motor neuron reduced the presynaptic release of neurotransmitter. 2/10/2017 Pim - Fig.2 shows the involvement of a Insulin->Tor pathway that regulates SV release. In subsequence figures the authors shows that this is via a nuclear mechanism that reslts in translational regulation of Complexin. Moreover, the 4E-BP protein is a known translational regulator. Together this shows that the effect of tor on SV release is indirectly via regulation of translation. |
