Mislocalization of ADAM10 with a TAT-fused competing peptide or inhibition of ADAM10 activity with TIMP-1 results in spine morphology changes and different synaptic transmission (AMPAR composition, AMPA activity) in vitro and in vivo. I think that the role of N-cadherin in this story is illustrated in a correlational rather than a experimental fashion. No effect on cell adhesion is shown. |
