Annotation description: | Figure 10. Quantitative immunoelectron microscopy of SNAP47 immunolabeling in glutamatergic neurons of the rat hippocampus shows labeling on mossy fiber boutons and postsynaptic spines of CA3 pyramidal cells. Labeling for SNAP47 was present in most presynaptic terminals, but at a level lower than that detected in postsynaptic compartments. Fig 11. Ultrastructural localization of SNAP47 in axon terminals and dendrites of GABAergic INs of the mouse hippocampus gives similar result: expression in pre- and postsynaptic neurons 23/10/2017 Pim - In Fig.8/9 the authors show that SNAP47; SNAP-47 is present both pre- and postsynaptically in the Mossy Fiber Projection System of the rat (using ZnT3 and PSD95 as resp. pre and postsynaptic markers). In the mouse, SNAP47; SNAP-47 is predominantly located at the postsynapse (clearly different from the rat species). |
