Annotation description: | 25556795 Fig 1, Voltage clamp experiments showing voltage-gated potassium-channel function. 25556795 Fig 6a-b,Increased paired pulse ratio (PPR) in KO. Biochemical process is inferred from: localisation of the channel and its general function, supported by changes in presynaptic function in the KO as a consequence of altered excitability. 6/2/2018 Pim - The in situ action of KCNH1 on membrane potential is not shown in the synapse itself. In stead, the authors show activity as VGPC in HEK cells (effects in situ on membrane potential could not be observed for reasons mentioned in the paper), show downstream effect on presynaptic calcium concentration (Fig.5) and SV exocytosis (Fig.6). Since the inference to 'voltage-gated ion channel activity involved in regulation of presynaptic membrane potential (GO:0099508)' is safely made, I approve of this annotation and created the secondary tems as well. |
