Annotation description:Authors used MAPKK antisera and detected MAPKK immunoreactivity in PSD fractions prepared from rat cerebral cortex, hippocampus and cerebellum. MAPKK is also present in all analyzed fractions (soluble, synaptosome and synaptic plasma membrane). However, MAPKK immunoreactivity increased following synaptogenesis (3 weeks after birth) in the synaptosomal and PSD fraction which suggests that MAPKK functions in the synapse.
