Annotation description:Pre-embedding immuno-peroxidase labelling for electron microscopy indicates the presence of Alpha2C Adrenergic receptor (Alpha2C-AR) immunoreactivity in dendrites in the nucleus locus coeruleus. Alpha2C-AR immunoreactivity was often associated with plasma membrane regions apposed to astrocytes or presynaptic terminals, and frequently adjacent to postsynaptic densities (Fig. 2B, 3B). However, immunoreactivity was also found at a distance from the PSD at the membrane as well as in the cytoplasm of dendrites and endomembranes.

Preabsorption of the antibody with the peptide completely abolishes immunostaining (Fig. 1B).
